"In March 2016, I enrolled in classes with Yadelia with only a few, self-taught piano skills to my advantage, since then, I’ve advanced tremendously. Within the last three years, I’ve learned and played pieces that should be out of my reach at such an early stage of my piano learning, such as the first movement of Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata and Für Elise, Chopin’s Prelude in A Major and his Waltz in E Minor, Ernesto Lecuona’s A la Antigua, and George Gershwin’s Merry Andrew, among others. I played these pieces and others this past July for the National Piano Guild Auditions and obtained the High School Diploma, which is a very big deal. Additionally, I got tested on other important skills like playing scales, ear training, sight training, and transposition. Overall, Yadelia’s teachings and her constant encouragement for rigorous practice led me to a place I didn’t think was possible and for that, I am eternally grateful."
"My name is Elizabeth. As a young girl I followed my older sister's footstep and signed up for piano class. At 13, after learning the basics, I became Yadelia's student. Under Yadelia's guidance I was able to reach great lengths in piano; today I am certified to teach piano with the Piano in Social Music High School Diploma.
Piano for me

Piano for me is a way of disconnecting from the busy day-to-day; it is my escape from a busy day of studying. I am now a PhD student at Harvard and I'd like to thank Yadelia for encouraging hard work and dedication which transcend beyond the piano.
Simply put, being able to play the piano is a gift and I thank my parents for supporting my initial enthusiasm as a kid and later my love for the instrument. "

Throughout the years, I saw her modify her teaching techniques according to my age group in order to better instruct me. Additionally, she always found a way to keep my repertoire unique and challenging, all while remaining stimulating enough to keep focused on the piano. More important than then high school diploma in Social Music that I earned from the National Guild of Piano Teachers thanks to Yadelia's invaluable help, however, is the beloved family member I gained through my years as her students."
"I’m Ryan, a student of Yadelia. I’ve been taking piano lessons with her for 9 years now. I take the guild tests and do recitals with her. She has taught me everything I know and I’m so grateful to her. She’s the best teacher."
"I've been learning piano for 10 years under Mrs. Yadelia and she is very kind, patient, understanding and professional. I have accomplished many things with her as a teacher. At age 9, I received the Stage Master's Titanium Award. I obtained my high school diploma when I was 14 years old."

I have performed in her recitals that she holds yearly and participated in a competition. Every year I would go to the Guild super nervous to perform and she would remind me how hard I’ve been working and how great my pieces were and I have passed every time! In 2018, we both decided that I was ready to get my high school diploma so we both worked very hard and when the time came for the exam I passed! I am so grateful for all the opportunities that have come my way from getting my diploma. It would have not been possible without my teacher! We have a great relationship and my mom and I still go to her house to practice piano. Yadelia’s teaching techniques are on point and she is very nice. I am so blessed to call her my teacher, she has never failed to impress people at her recitals and the judges at the Guild. In April of 2020 it’ll be 11 years of taking classes with her. I’m very excited to see what new pieces I will learn!"
